In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection.

These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

Our goal is to bring together bright minds to give talks that are idea-focused, and on to test your ideas a wide range of subjects, to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter. To find out more about the Tedx program click here

TEDx Swansea returned LIVE on Saturday 26th October 2024 at The Dylan Thomas Theatre Swansea with an amazing line up of speakers.

In the last four years we have had over 5.7million views of our Swansea TED talks an incredible amount of views!!!!

We are so proud of what we do here as we have an amazing team supporting this event.

On many levels, COVID-19 has already changed the way we do things, and its impact will continue to affect our decision-making. We have all experienced incredible challenges that affect the global community as well as our local and regional communities.

Last year, we brought together some outstanding speakers from our local community and outside to inspire, educate, and entertain our audience. Game changers, entrepreneurs, academics and more will be here to encourage discussion and ideas.

TEDxSwansea is about our regional community bringing the best local talent to our stage to bring fresh Ideas, Inspire, educate and entertain. Together with our partners, we will provide an amazing platform for a flagship event for the City.

TEDx is a prestigious event recognised globally with over 23.5 million followers and 42.7 million subscribers.

This event raises the profile of our city we are attracting applicants to speak from the international community around the world bringing Swansea and our partners to a global audience.
