Ify Iwobi is a multi-award winning Swansea born artist

Ify Iwobi is a multi-award winning Swansea born artist with Nigerian heritage. She is a classical/contemporary pianist and composer. She studied Music Performance at Brunel University in London. Ify has performed around Wales for example Wales Millennium Centre, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, at the Senedd Parliament, National Waterfront Museum Swansea, St Fagan’s Museum and National Museums of Wales Cardiff. She has also performed nationally and internationally in London, French Alps, America and Nigeria. Ify performs for many charities to help raise funds such as Stepping Stones, Barnados, educating 10 young people in Nigeria, performing in support fundraising for the education of 10 young people in Nigeria, Onani Charity for sightless children in Malawi etc.

Ify composes her own original works and plays a wide variety of genres and composes Classical, Pop, Jazz, Indie, Rock, R’n’B etc. She works with Session Musicians from Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama who are part of ‘Ify Iwobi band’ to perform her original works! Ify Iwobi has been designated a Welsh A List Artist by BBC Radio Wales.  

Her releases have included ‘Flying High,’ from her 2019 album ‘Illuminate, and in 2020 she released an EP ‘Bossin’ It,’ which was followed by a Single called, ‘Solo’ feat. Luna Lie Lot. She composed a track called, ‘We Won’t Forget’ feat. Black History Wales Artists to honour the Welsh NHS and frontline artists who gave their lives fighting the COVID 19 pandemic and all proceeds were donated to NHS Wales. Two of her ‘Bossin’ It’ EP tracks ‘Love Rapsody’ (feat. Anwar Siziba) and ‘Thinking About You’ (feat. Jinmi Abduls) have been Welsh A-Listed by BBC Radio Wales. Her tracks ‘Solo’ feat. Luna Lie Lot, and current release, ‘Ambition’ feat. Anwar Siziba, have also been A-Listed by BBC Radio Wales.
