BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are the lifeblood of what we do and they make TEDx events happen!
It takes an army of passionate, creative and can-do people to put on an event this scale – doing anything from helping people to their seats, to operating cameras and running the check-in desk.
Like every TEDx event around the world, we’re a bunch of motivated and passionate people from all walks of life with one thing in common: delivering a brilliant ideas event. You don’t need to be an event professional or have previous experience – but you do need to be prepared to give up some of your spare time, to learn on the job and to get stuck in.
As a TEDxSwansea volunteer, you’ll gain experience of working on a live, high profile event and film shoot. You’ll widen your professional and social network, be the face of our event, and probably make some fantastic new friends too.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We currently have a vacancy for a head of partnerships position, which will be a commission based-role. If you have experience in stakeholder liason and managing partnership relations, this role could be for you. When applying, please specify if you are applying for the head of partnerships position.
We also have many other voluntary positions open – you don’t need any particular experience – we’re looking for is passion and enthusiasm. If you do have any specific experience or you would like to gain some in a particular area, there are opportunities for the following:
Social Media and Marketing
Live Event Production
Partnerships and Stakeholder Liaison
Front of House and Hospitality
Speaker selection and talk curation
Media Production
Speaker Liaison and general administration
General Support staff at the event
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
We understand that your spare time is precious, so we’ll be upfront with you about what minimum commitment we’ll require. Putting on an event as big as TEDxSwansea takes a lot of time and hard work so all we ask is that you’re able to meet your minimum commitment.
